St Andrew's Graveyard and Bere Ferrers War Memorial

The index of graves has been typed up from the church's book of graves, but is still being checked as there are some errors and omissions.

The index does not include the many gravestones around the walls of the churchyard, but a full list of those has been drawn up and can be found here. Photos of these gravestones are available. Contact us with any requests.

Details of the names on the War Memorial and their families can be found at http://www.devonheritage.org/Places/Bere%20Alston%20and%20Bere%20Ferrers/BereFerrers1914-1918WarMemorial.htm

Details of the New Zealand soldiers killed at Bere Ferrers Station in the First World War, whose names are also on the memorial, can be found at https://brucehunt.co.uk/plymouth%20devonport%20and%20south%20western%20junction%20railway/bere%20ferrers%20tragedy.html and www.aucklandmuseum.com/search?q=bere%20ferrers#gsc.tab=0&gsc.q=bere%20ferrers&gsc.page=1
